Eyelining with Eyeliners
Accentuating your eyes with eyeliner may not always be easy. It may not even be a comfortable nor a happy experience, especially if you are using a pencil eyeliner that is so hard it could not glide on easily. Most often, your eyes get irritated, making them water.
There are different kinds of eyeliners in the market today. The first and most common is the pencil eyeliner. The pencil eyeliner is the most popular and most often used because it is easier to control than the other kinds of pencil eyeliner. However, as already mentioned, it is not soft enough nor is it very friendly to the eyes. The second kind is the liquid eyeliner. The liquid eyeliner is not as easy to control as the pencil eyeliner and may actually require a bit of practice to get things done the right way. It is often used by professionals to create more defined lines.
The other kind of eyeliner is the felt tip liner. It is similar to the pencil eyeliner, only that it does not come on too strong so it glides rather easily on the lid. There is another kind of eyeliner that is becoming to be a bit popular nowadays. The fourth kind is called the cake eyeliner. The cake eyeliner is nothing more than an eyeshadow used as eyeliner.
To effectively use eyeliner to your advantage requires not only practice and patience, but clear understanding of the shape of your eyes. Understanding what the shape of your eyes is will enable you to use the eyelining technique best suited for your eyes. For instance, if your eyes are big or wide-set, only the inner corners of the eyes must be emphasized. On the other hand, for eyes that are close-set, only the outer corners must be accentuated.
