Guggul is a resin which is yellowish in color. This resin is found in a small prickly mukul myrrh tree which is known as commiphora mukul. The plant has a tallness of around 4 to 6 feet and has thorns on the branches. The fruit of this plant is pulpy and oval shaped whereas the flowers of this plant are red in color. The bark of this plant excrets gum resins which is known as guggul. This plant is majorly found in Northern parts of India.
