Lip Liner Application Tips
Hey ladies pucker up! Do you want to know what is the secret to those luscious lips of those famous models you see while flipping through your favorite glossy? It is as simple and easy as applying lipstick. The technique is what gives you the edge. Lip liner is a very readily available cosmetic which is very handy to keep in your purse along with your favorite lip gloss or lip balm. When you are out and about doing your daily chores for the day, you can simply use a neutral color lip liner and your lip gloss to give you irresistible naturally good looking lips. It can also make a whole world’s difference on how your lipstick shade and the shape of your lips will actually materialize.
The foremost step to be taken is to ensure that you take a lip liner which is either a neutral color or similar to the lipstick color which you are planning to apply. Make sure that it is not darker or else it may turn out be a disaster when the lipstick starts coming off and the color around your lip’s outline is all that is left. Ensure the pencil is sharpened to give you a thin outline. A good tip is to keep your lip liner refrigerated before sharpening so as not to break the nip while doing so.
Once your lip liner is in place then using a very steady hand, outline your lips according to your natural lip shape. The correct way of application would be to start at the center of your upper lip and move towards the outer edge. Then move towards the outer edge of your lower lip all the way to the opposite outer edge of the lower lip. Depending on the size of your lips you may want to vary the outline. Some of you who may have thin lips may prefer to outline your lips by lining the outer edge of your natural lip shade which can give an illusion of larger lips.

For long lasting lip color you may apply foundation or pressed powder on your lips before the application of your desired lipstick. Then fill in your lips which have been outlined with lip liner by either applying the lipstick from the center of your lip to the outer edge or better yet, a lip brush which would give your lips that perfect finish. Finally press a tissue paper between your lips to get rid of the extra color, apply the lipstick again and dab some more pressed powder on. You are all set to go!
