  • Taking a break from daily routine for a day or two;
  • Stretching or active exercise
  • Ice or heat application
  • Medications that provide relief from lower back pain

These options are appropriate for the axial type of lower back pain. In most cases, these non-surgical options are resorted to as other alternatives don’t provide significant results in managing the pain.
